I think the only other plugin that has given me similar issues would be Red Giant Universe's Camera Shake, but even that I can get to work most of the time. But for whatever reason, even if I begin a brand new comp at 1280 x 720 and try to apply a masking layer over a PNG with Red Giant's RGB Separation effect on the mask, After Effects suddenly shuts down without warning. I have a decent PC that is starting to show its age, but I'm still able to handle fairly complicated After Effects compositions with 3D cameras and 3D layers in 4K within reason.
